The Department of Chemical Engineering held its Orientation Program for first-year students on October 2, 2025, in classroom D-305.
The event began with a welcome presentation by the Vice Chair of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. H. Hande Mert, who provided an overview of the department. The presentation covered the undergraduate curriculum, regulations on academic performance and examinations, course structure, internship opportunities, graduation project, ongoing research activities, and available laboratory facilities.
The program continued with an informative session on the Erasmus student exchange program delivered by the Department’s Erasmus Coordinator, Dr. Merve Ceylan. Following this, the student club Proses Club was introduced. The club’s advisor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Berrin Saygı Yalçın, shared detailed information about its activities and opportunities for student engagement.
The orientation concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where new students had the chance to ask questions and engage directly with the faculty members.
